Snowman at the Beach
Summer '99

Glare
What's that? All that glare!
Crowded
I can't tell. It's too crowded around there.
What's happening?
What's happening in there!

What's happening is that I'm putting the final touches on a snowman made of sand. You can see the blue box for the snowman kit in lower right hand corner.

I spent about an hour and a half building a mound of sand about three and half feet high. After creating this massive heap of sand, I carved out a lot of sand at the base, and created two ledges with small overhangs on the resulting cone of sand. Then it was time to apply the Snowman Kit pieces.

Kids with Lee While I was building the pile of sand, a number of kids came by wondering what I was doing. Many of these children volunteered to add a little sand to the growing heap. Their help and delight in the project helped see it to the end. Kids Only

One of the last steps of any project is making sure everything is well done.

What excitement!
